Great minds think alike.

I was thinking Harry could pinch hit on the wing. From memory, he is generally on the top of the kms covered list in most games. He has recently shown the intensity and defensive efforts that show that he could play wing IMO.

Our forwardline has enough marking targets with Langford, Wright, Stringer and possibly a resting ruck as well.

we’ve been running cox, duurs and hepp. i think Jones taking some wing minutes would be interesting

I think we stick with those that have played there. No need to introduce another wingman unless its Roberts.

You didn’t mention upper and lower case.

Thats when Ridley will be ready so 2 good ins.

There’s a lot of recovery time between games, but at this level when players do train they need to train really hard at high intensity as that is how matches are played. Players can’t just jog around and practice their ball skills.

Training is practice and practice needs to simulate match conditions as much as possible.

Would you have that opinion if he’d kicked 2-3 last week?

He’s finally showed some form recently since his debut year. Lets not fk with it by putting him into a role he’s never played before. Keep on sending him up as a forward

Fair… I’m just looking for a little bit of wing time from him. Cox and hepp will do most of it

Maybe Wright should be put onto the wing: Jones plays better as a KPF when Wright isn’t there to get in the way.

yeah, that’s an eight week injury… :frowning:

I am waiting to hear Lawry’s tongue in cheek take on Jones potential move to the wing.

You mean Weid’s move to the wing right?

i always thought weiderman was a liberal

Its just bad luck unfortunately. How many players this year have been replaced in the starting line up after a strain or tear in the pre game warm up! The game is becoming so much more physically demanding clubs are required to train harder.

A month minimum says Brad Scott, I think this sounds more like a 2 month injury.

Torn Quadricep? Reduce pain and get back to sport quickly (shirephysiotherapy.com.au)
Generally speaking the expected time frames are:

  • Grade I Quad Strain = 1-2 weeks

  • Grade II Quad Strain = 3-6 weeks

  • Grade III Quad Strain= 6- 12 +weeks

  • Grade III with tendon rupture = 6 months

Every injury and athlete is different so these times can vary.

we wont see him again this season.

Tendon involvement doesn’t equate to tendon rupture.

I’m going 8 weeks.
