Look - I love Hurls. But âŚexceptional skills? Marking, stopping, speed, handballing, field kick - not sure if any of those are exceptional. I guess âexceptionalâ is not exactly a defined quantity. I do think Hurley is an exceptional defender, though. Which comes back to my original point.

FFS, this is not the end of the world. Its an indication that we have a very good, deep, balanced midfield. Darcy is at worst one kick to the calf away from a recall, at best he will fight his way back into the side by lifting his game. There is pressure on Guelfi to maintain his spot.

Whatâs he worth in a trade? Apply the narrative âforced outâ because of Heppell, Shiel, Smith, Merrett (midfield depth) âbut has talentâ and you never know what Gold Coast might stump up.

Realistically, maybe a 2nd rounder based on his form at the moment? i wouldnt be trading him though. hes still only 21 and weve seen the potential he has.

would have had to trade our future 1st to the gold coast which would have meant we would have missed out on McGrath. We probably would have had to give up Francis too. come one Nino, think about this.
