Just for giggles swap Parish and Merrett roles and see what happens. Parish will have 30 plus and 10 clearances, Merrett will have 10 inside 50’s and set up 5 plus goals.

Not much being said about this guy but when you watch the replay he is in everything and plays a very important role in our dominance in the end.

My favourite piece of play from him was at the start of the last deep in our forward line where he laid a big tackle and then on his hands and knees pinched it off the deck from Sloan and then dished to Merrett for the check side goal.

My guess is that there is some sort of load management going on. He certainly doesn’t look injured. Will be interesting to see if it’s back up this week.

I wonder if the tank of Mitch Brown adds more value to the team by allowing our more naturally talented players to get more breaks and have higher impact when on the ground.
Mitch spent 94% of the time on the ground.

Also the comparison of players is actually the valid part, it’s the wishing things had turned out differently that is pointless.
