#30 - Nate Caddy - thru 2028

I don’t think hailebury pays him or Pendelbury to coach I think they do it as part of the community of the school

The $5m signing bonus pool they have has a maximum of $3m used in either year, so bare minimum they’ll have $2m straight cash separate to actual contracts in 2028.

Really, nah.. i cant see that happening

I can’t see him going.

The kid likes the lime light of the G and big games.

If we had win a flag then probably. But not while he is early in his career and we will folk out enough to keep him happy.

I can’t believe he hasn’t been banished to the VFL, as requested by some here.

Nate caddy when he realises our midfield actually has a fkn chance to win a clearance before 3 quarter time with tsatas in

It kind of is. He’s not a free agent anytime soon. If a club wants to offer him “unprecedented” ($1.5mil?) money, then they can offer trade value accordingly too.

$1.5m is not unprecedented.

It is if being offered to a key forward who averages only slightly above one goal per game.

That would be paying proven performer money to someone who still only shows potential. As highly as I rate Caddy, $1.5m per season for him at this stage would be absolutely mental.

Tassie is allowed access to any uncontracted player in 27/28 as a free agent regardless of whether they actually are. One per club maximum.

So Tassie can offer a truck load of money in 28 and he can walk. We would get a compensation pick that is likely below his value.

We might get two firsts. I think Bulldogs did for Ward.

Nah… WB got one 1R pick (ended up being pick #6) which they used to get Jack MacCrae…

I think Ablett and Scully were the only two who attracted 2 compensation picks.

I’m sure the kid like lots of money also.

He would be on $1 mil + at Essendon and half his kids are finished at Haileybury and the others will be on scholarships

He does a lot of really great things but boy sometimes he makes you want to tear your hair out.

I can’t wait for the day it clicks and he kicks 8 goals 0 instead of 3.5. Oh boy

I’d love him to lead at the ball.

I think he thinks he can always win the footy but he could make it a lot easier for himself.

No chance

He walks a lot taller when May is also in the side.
