“save us Nate caddy, you’re our only hope”
Bar multiple injuries, he’s not playing round 1.
He’ll play rnd 1 imo
Brad said the other day that’s it becoming pretty hard to hold him back.
He would show more eappetiate for the contest in his first game then Jones has had in his whole career
So am i.
We’ll be wetting ourselves if he has a first dozen games or so like Jones did. There was a reason we were very excited.
That’s not to talk Jones up, or Caddy down.
It’s just something I will be keeping in mind as I wish Caddy well.
Let’s be realistic about Caddy. True, brilliant attitude and endeavour at training. Doing all the right things. All the 1%’s and very impressive. However, honestly you have to be realistic about a young 18 yo tall key position. ‘That’ mark aside, he hasn’t dominated play or the scoreboard. He hasn’t really beaten top notch defenders yet. He hasn’t been ruffed up, blocked, manhandled and pushed around. Yet, some here think we may see a John Coleman contribution early days.
He’s a kid, he’s raw, young, green but bloody talented and exciting.
He ain’t going to make Essendon’s forward issues disappear initially. Don’t set yourselves up for disappointment.
Unleash him, get miles into his legs, stop the cotton wool approach Essendon!!
Don’t be silly. I see him as only Cummings-level in his debut game.
That was some debut.
If he doesn’t have a “NATE CADDY FAN CLUB” banner behind the goals during his debut… delist the cheer squad!
It was, but then so was Begley’s. Was that his name? Three marks, three goals in his first 20 minutes on the ground, and then nothing at all for the rest of the game or indeed the rest of his time with us. And Cummings kicked a lot of goals but was never a great player.
I would just love us to get a good, reliable CHF. We haven’t had one since Scott Lucas retired.
Yup another indictment on Dudro
I truly think that’s Langford, unfortunately it took us 8 years to realise
He’s a full forward, not a CHF.
We will probably debut him and play him for two seasons half back for learnings.
Should we put Caddy in cotton wool before season proper?
Isnt Wright our CHF then?
No. He’s not a key forward. I know many disagree, but he’s one-dimensional. He’s an excellent third tall.
Your defining key forward different to how the AFL does and I suspect everyone involved with the EFC would disagree with you.
Good on you.
