#30 - Nate Caddy - thru 2031

I would prefer Dr Gotwell

Absolutely robbed of goal of the year top three. No real watcher of football would reckon Caddy’s over the header isn’t better than any of these.

If Ashcroft meant his then it’s well worthy, but I’d put Caddy’s and also Lual’s soccer effort ahead of the other two.

Just a popularity contest though really.

Eh.

I reckon those ones are all pretty impressive tbh. Ashcroft to check his kick mid action to avoid the smother, Flanders to soccer in a contest in the wet with the outside of his boot. Caddy’s was impressive too, but no more so.

I actually like Andersons the most. In terms of the stage of the game, the set up and for it to come off like it did with the risk associated. I think that was the most impressive.

The cynical side of me suspects the AFaiL is cashing in on Queensland teams ‘ successful season.

They were pretty average GOTY contenders. I think the AFL definitely has a QLD bias.

Even the soccer goal. Luals degree of difficulty was higher because it was wet. Flanders on was just a fluke. In the wet you just kick and hope

What’s so special about Anderson’s?

Not OP. He wants to continue to boost his running capacity to push up the ground further and even pinch hit as a mid in years to come.

It’s precautionary as he’s been sore and there was zero benefit to risking himself in the latter part of the season.

Also is a bit banged up in ribs/shoulder

If Anderson’s goal was one of the best three kicked this year, 2025 might well be the most boring year of goal-kicking in AFL history.

Thank ■■■■ for that, assuming it’s true which given the source you would suspect so

Are the sore ribs from that umpire that ran into him?

Good work. Appreciate it!

He would make a welcome change from Dr. Strangelove.

I was at that game and am fairly certain he didn’t get a possession after that. Also looked sore for the rest of the game and the next.

so it’s not OP, but just soreness in the groin area, that it was determined was best not to risk it.

doesn’t sound like op at all.

(that’s not a crack at you FWIW, but if he has op he’s not gonna admit it outside of the club.)

And that’s a fair enough assessment and of course I’m not going to be pushy on my side as the relationship has developed this year and I’m not out to be poop scoop McClure but from what I’ve been advised by Caddy family, along with seeing Nate 2-3 weeks back, there’s absolutely nothing serious that should concern us and with all of the injury challenges the club faced this year, especially in the 2nd half of the season, that they are taking a very precautionary approach being Nate’s our marquee forward

you should have told them you post on blitz, and we need hard, concrete evidence and facts, we need x rays, independent doctor reports stating it’s not op, and for him to dance the tango, with splits at the end to prove his groins are 100% good.

but on a serious note, was just playing devils advocate, we all hope what you say is true

Every injury is worst case and was preventable.

Every loss is due to being out coached.

Every mistake requires the head of that department to be sacked.
