#30 - Nate Caddy - thru 2031

Again, he works hard when WE have the ball, but a major flaw of our structure is our inability to hold the ball in our forward half and apply pressure to the opposition when they are clearing it. He needs to work harder defensively in the front half. His direct opponents run off him in transition far too easily

I don’t mind this plan as long as somebody teaches him to kick. Great talent and potential- but ATM a terrible kick.

He couldn’t kick from a metre.

I’ll get me coat.

Said a while ago. How long as lloydy been involved? After getting the tin tack there was talk that Brad wouldn’t let ex Essendon folk near the club.

That ā€˜talk’ was two ex players too scared to put their name to an article talking about how they didn’t get automatically let into the rooms after a game

Posted this in the Trade thread.

I heard an interesting theory today. What if Caddy has accepted a huge offer from Tassie (in theory) and that is why we are targeting Walter???

Meh.

We are always targeting someone.

And just about every club in the league is eyeing off the carcass that is Essendon at the moment to see what they might be able to pick off.

Also Scooter would have received an SMS from his mate if that were the case.

What about if Robey has been approached by Tassie…

you honestly think caddy would go from a team as bad as this, slowly start to get better ( hopefully ) then make a move to a team who will be terrible for 5 to 6 years? what an awful career that would be

The club’s mission should be to ensure we are back on an upwards trend just as Nate hits his peak as a player. If we are the same clownshow we are right now in 2 years time then it wouldn’t surprise at all if he wanted out. Everything we do, from the coach we pick, the way we play, the players we recruit, the players we keep and trade/delist, the support staff, will play a role in him staying or not. If we get it right, him staying put will take care of itself.

He and all the young lads need to be brought in by the new coach and told about the journey they will be on and how important they are to the fortunes of the club.

i just think its so important to get this end of year right, we just simply have to get rid of the poison and anyone over 26-27 who wont be here for our next flag/arent good enough , we also must get some winning culture brought into the playing list, someone the young players can look up to and respect

Was surprised someone here mentioned Lloyd leaving at 3/4 given the above

Did he leave the ground or leave his seat to potentially go to the rooms?

Not sure, was an offhand comment posted here somewhere, probably in the Caddy review thread or game review thread

fiorino four years

Fiorini will be a star. You just wait and see.
