Before anyone else says it please read this post,
Twomey confirmed that it wasnt just us trying to get Geelongs pick to nab Caddy.
Geelong might not have wanted him but there were other clubs that did.
We had to outbid them or be forced into picking a player we didnt want.
It was necessary business now please stop.

Fair call. Stewart is 31 in March next year. The fact they had Esava playing back shows how big their holes are.

We’ve been complaining so much about not making moves in the draft to get the player we want. But fair play to dodoro here for this as much as I want him gone. Even then, 31 has pushed out to 36 now, so we haven’t really lost much

I think it speaks volumes to the changes at the club. It feels like we heavily targeted Caddy in this draft for our forward line that has struggled for depth. We didnt leave it up to chance. Took the kid that we wanted and it cost us a pick in the 30’s in a very shallow draft.
This may also be a change in philosophy at the draft table where we have historically drafted “Best Available”. It hasnt worked for us at all. So in this case, weve finally drafted for needs and ensured that we landed the kid we were after.

From the footage it looks like dodoro gives a pat on the back of the young lady behind the laptop maybe she got the deal done.
