Harry Jones getting criticised for not getting involved enough; Caddy ready to be a number 1 forward. I get that Harry is more experienced . I’m using the comparison below to suggest Nate’s game doesn’t demand the best defender from an opposition yet.
I think everyone is pretty sure you don’t want him around based on what’s out there.
Either he’s putting on a serious act to get out, or he’s fast moving towards absolute trainwreck territory.
ones in their 6th year of the afl system, ones in their 2nd.
one spends time in the middle of the ground, and doesn’t really play forward
Caddy is getting similar numbers in his second year, therefore by default he is getting the best defender.
If he’s producing the same numbers in year 6 as he is now, I imagine people will be questioning him also.
Watch Geelong fix him like they did with Stengle and becomes their Cameron replacement.
JUH is too much like Caddy.
We need a lead out of the goal square FF.
It burns me that the Lions somehow ended up with a guy who looks at least Caddy’s equal, or possibly even better, with pick 31 in that same draft in Logan Morris.
Notwithstanding the obvious retort that it’s easier to look good in a strong team, he is a beauty.
He looked like a gun in his under 18 year to me too, I couldn’t work out how he wasn’t taken sooner.
Yea he looks very good. I wouldn’t be pushing him out of any squad for Oscar Allen. To me it looks like Caddy needs more time to develop his game. He seems to be running well and getting to enough contests. He sometimes gets pushed under the ball a bit easy, this could also be due to average inside 50 kick. He is also just off from clunking those contested marks. A bit more strength and a bit of confidence and I think he has a game where he absolutely dominates someone and kicks 5. Really excited by what this kid will turn into.

Stengle once had to be carried out of a nightclub and hospitalised. Let’s not pretend Geelong a miracle workers.

I wouldn’t bother putting my number 1 defender on either of the two.
Cadman starting to look good for GWS. We need to pair Caddy and Cadman.
I am worried about going after JUH. Too much risk.
No, we just need to Draft Curtain and we’re sorted
Before our window closes?

Please.
Morris gets the 3rd best defender each week and is in the best team.
Caddy gets the best defender and plays for a bottom 6 team.
I remember at the hawthorn game looking at barrass lining up on caddy and just thinking what hope do we have when a 19 year old is our best forward and is coming up these types of defenders each week.
Yeah I acknowledge all of that. I actually don’t have any concerns with how Caddy is tracking at all. I think if you look at how young key forwards typically deliver in their first couple of seasons he’s going along just fine and you can clearly see the raw attributes are there. Especially the willingness to launch at the footy the way he does. Once the mitts get a bit stronger and more reliable his impact will go up considerably.
It is more a comment on how well the Lions have done as I reckon Morris is outstanding, even factoring in that he has other key forwards ahead of him in the pecking order now and features in a strong side.
Caddy also isn’t a FF, he is similar to Curnow or McGovern, who are both elite KPFs but really better suited to playing behind a McKay or a Allen.
Wouldn’t be against a play to get McKay. Might get him cheap if it helps Carlton keep TDK
Which McGovern? Thought both played as key backs?
Redman was probably a finished product 2 years ago. At his best he’s a consistent footballer, offering hard defence against his opponent and giving run and long kicking out of the backline.
I don’t think he’s going to suddenly become Dan Houston, but if he gets back to his best football of 2 years ago he’s a great contributor.
Yeah it must be stupidly easy for Morris to ride the coat tails of a premiership team. Bigger players taking all the key position heat, having that midfield ramming the ball down your throat at will, let’s him just relax and get into AFL football with less pressure.
I wonder what Caddy would look like as the third tall in that team.

Waterman oops
We need to crowd fund this bloke some grippo.
Could be so damaging if he’d just hold onto a few
