#31 Zach Reid

Can’t imagine that.

But could imagine a Merrett Parish Tie.

If that is his actual height now, when do we start having a ruck or back discussion?

Are there any other 205cm key defenders in the league?

It just seems huge for a key defender. Like you said, its ruckman height

Tallest outside of Zac off the top of my head

Sam Darcy is 208cm and it looks like he will play as a key defender

Darcy moore being 203 is insane. 1, i thought he was about 194/195 (he looks that tall imo) and 2, he’s so agile

Never mind this forward or back waffle.

Could he possibly be the big, big bodied mid that Nino has been pining for?

I’m throwing it out there.

How tall will his brother get in a couple of years already 203cm and KPF.

Pretty much all 204cm + are rucks Zach Reid & Lachy Keefe Excluded.

We have 203cm Wright and 202cm Mckay now + Reid 205cm so well served with tall KPP players.
Draper pretty agile for a ruck who’s done his acl too.

Suns have Mac Andrew, Ethan Read, Ben King who can all play KPP at 202cm
Plus their Rucks, Witts (209cm) + Ned Moyle (206cm)

i’ve always thought he’s the shortest looking 200cm player i’ve seen. so quick and mobile

Exciting pre season to date, love reading about him showing great signs.

Sheer luxury!
McKay - Reid combo, height, disposal with Reid, McKay really good intercepting skills. This pairing could be absolutely transformative.

However. Opposing clubs will not want to kick it long into their forward lines. Emphasis will be leading and crumbing forwards. McGrath, Ridley and Redman will need to deal with that.

I still think there is a high chance Reid will become ruck/forward.
And it’s a position that would suit the team. Maybe in a few years time. If Hayes/Baldwin come on, McKay stays healthy, and after Goldie retires … you never know.

I think I’m only truly allowing myself to get excited about Reid as a player and as a viable option for us if and when he gets through the two pre-season matches and a few home and away games.

We’re only going to see the best of him once that happens too because he’d still have lingering doubts about his body letting him down. He needs to get through a block of actual full intensity matches for his own peace of mind. I hope we see it.

Do we know if Reid has a decent tank?

Ruckmen with exquisite disposal are unicorns

What other sides have 2 + 200cm Key defenders.

Could be 3 if Cox came on. but probably needs to wait for injury to get in the 22.

He pinchit in the ruck as a junior I believe he’s a decent runner.

Let’s not jinx it, desperately hope the kid gets a good run at it.

Dodoro tried to address the tall spine at the draft, 3 years ago, now its too many talls!
