#31 Zach Reid

From what I’ve seen he looks a fair way off it.

OK, so you can’t name 1. That’s what I thought.

And again, it’s not about Zaka/Ambrose specifically. Hooker was dropped twice last year.

So, yeh, it most certainly is about the coach.

I did recommend you look this up.

Stanton, Howlett, Hocking and Jerrett played the bulk of 2017 in the VFL. After al being first team regulars for 2+ years. Along with Craig Bird, who most people wanted picked in the seniors for some reason, and one of either TBC (first third of the year) or Luenie (rest of the year). So, yeah, if that is your argument, it’s a pretty ■■■■■■■ stupid one.

Howlett and Jerrett were never more than fringe to begin with. That is certainly not what I’m talking about.

I’ll give you Hocking and Stanton, in 1 season, from Worsfold’s entire tenure. He sure was ruthless.

Did anyone play a game of VFL last year?

Haha, ■■■■, yep, fair call. whatever it was they did play. AFLX scratch matches. Don’t think Zaha played any? Doubt Ambo did, but he was out injured anyway, so it’s a moot point.

I don’t think we were really meant to be competitive, I understood that to mean “but we won’t be tanking” rather than “we will compromise our rebuild”.

Hard to say whether Truck would’ve had the balls to play Jones, Perkins, Cox, Ham, etc, if Hurley, Caldwel and Sheil were available, but since Zaka, Ambo, Philips and Cutler have been on the outer for most of it, you’d have to say that the injuries have further fast tracked our rebuild.
I’d like to see Reid get a game but I really don’t want to break him. As long as he’s up to it physically then bring him in to get a few games to mull over in the off and pre season. Then again is there any point him playing on a wing if he’s never going to play there in the future?

I take it that you didn’t watch the Geelong vfl game?

I was impressed with his performance against Jenkins/ another mature body (forgot his name)

With Reid I just want to see what the hype(read players comments about his skill) is.

Yeah, was much improved from last week.

Reid has recovered from his illness and has built strength and form over the last few weeks in VFL. He should now come into the AFL team to develop for the 2022 season.

Is it me or does Reid look a little bit bigger frame wise?

He must be close with Waterman coz he is getting the chunky thighs. :ok_hand::ok_hand:

I’m not in love anymore, just conflicted.

He was a great rebound.

Benny Howlett was a very good player, he hardly missed a match for 5 seasons to 2015 until the Saga got him.

He looks to have put some size across his chest and shoulders and considerable difference through hips and quads. Maybe his return from illness allowed him to do a mini 3-4 week block focusing on building strength and power.

Have a looks at you’s, judging and oggling these poor young men like they’re pieces of meat or some thing, should be ashamed.

Stick with the long sleeves this year Reidy.

Have a feeling we might hear of Zach having an injury (possibly back related) and could be out for quite sometime. I don’t believe he is playing VFL this week. Hoping its not too serious
