#33 - Hussien “Hussy” El Achkar

I agree about the others you listed but Alwyn Davey at least was NOT drafted as a small forward and when he could have played as such last season, BS did not give him a chance.

Yep, I’d be playing either El Achkar or Unwin in the forwardline, just for the speed and agility if nothing else. Both can be fun to watch.

Looks like a Lebanese Cory Dell’Olio.

Not super quick.

Thought he showed something when he came in to the team later in the year, took chances, backed himself in and provided run.

I like him.

That’s a bit graphic but I hope it felt euphoric

FARK it, play el Achkar, unwin and kako all in rd 1.

Guelfi and Gresham can stay in the vfl for mine

Loving Huss playing black team & possibly in AFL consideration early.

Plus don’t forget, he’s got VFL form in his favour … *booted three second half goals* :squinting_face_with_tongue:

That’s more than his contemporaries have…

contrary to what this shows, he’s kicked lots of goals this pre season. Not just laid tackles.

This is his best one from yesterday (free video).

He loves those clever little kicks, Kako seems to like them too, so they’ll be doing some moves that confuse the defenders between them.

His step to beat McGrath here is ridiculous

Doesn’t look to have an AFL body (by modern standards), but geez he has something. Reads the play very well, keeps his feet, clean hands, knows where the goals are, and knows if he has a teammate in a better position. Looks to be one of those players who can get 10 possessions and be best on ground.

Gets the ball on his boot very quickly

Yup.

Only other thing I can say is he doesnt look overly quick either which will hopefully change as he develops his body.

But man he reads the ball well.

His conditioning certainly doesn’t look up to standard at the moment, but this little pudding should definitely be playing in the firsts in round one (or Opening Round, or whatever the ■■■■ it’s called now). Very encouraging signs.
