He’s not cooked, he just hasn’t got it I don’t think. He has a couple of really nice party tricks. And those moments can see him do some things that your average player can’t do. But that just isn’t enough at the top level. What he hasn’t got, is that dependable effort, those basic reliable skills, that grunt and attitude, that you need to be a viable AFL player. Shame, because the flashy glimpses are quite nice, but there is no substance in his game to take him beyond that.

Plenty of state league players winning the comp medal after being delisted by an AFL club.

With most possessions he’s been clean.
Just needs to smash a few tackles out.
What is he on trial? People are acting like he needs to prove them wrong.
He needs to do his job for the team. And he is… quite well.

Nobody said he’s on trial.
They’re cautious as his VFL form hasn’t been crash hot.
Certainly seems to put himself in good areas of the ground and finds space well.
So far so good today bar some scrappy disposal but every player done as much given conditions.
