He did substantially more than I thought last night. Glad he kicked a goal. He probably stays in for the moment, looking at the injury list there aren’t any imminent returns until after the bye.

He might have been as good as Kako but Guilfi played a great game. Was probably involved in half our scores and was winning 1 vs 2.
I’d pretty much written Lual off going on VFL form but he found himself in space and had a decent game. I’ll be watching to see if he backs that game up.

I know I’m going to get flamed for this comment but it’s only an observation. Clarke has a few short steps last night backing into marking contests. I still like what he’s bringing but when it’s your turn you gotta go.

I think that’s one of his skills … finding space out wide.
He’s got a way to go in other facets but a flanker or winger that reads the play and provides an option (and gut runs to do that) are golden.

Yeah, after watching him last night I’m now wondering if he’s just one of those players that doesn’t suit the congestion of VFL. We will find out I guess.

Pleasantly surprised. I had a seen a fair few VFL games where he seems to not do an awful lot.
Last night you could not fault his endeavour, was in the play a bit and made a few good tackles. Nice that he got the goal.

Brang the pressure.
Looks to have strong athletic traits.
Disposals were ok.
Based of mosts predictions on here I was expecting far worse.
Was a decent debut, but it did feel like his positioning in and around the contest is not quite right. A few times he put himself in awkward positions to help his teammates clear the ball into space.
Impressed more than any game I have seen him in the VFL, some good defensive efforts.

Pretty confident with his attitude he’ll sort it out though.
I really can’t remember being so confident of someone not being able to impact the contest or the ball when it’s in dispute. He’s a bit of a spectator.
Would much rather roll the dice on Davey for the next month.

Nah, Lual was fine. He has exceeded what he has shown in the VFL in both his AFL games. He competes and he hasn’t mishandled or turned it over. That’s been pretty good for games 1&2.

He offers essentially nothing. I’m not going to crucify him for instance for getting out marked by Blicavs but he is genuinely no good.

Was poor coaching by Scott in my opinion. Clarke should have gone to Blicavs on the wing. Blicavs was killing us and it was an easy switch
