He’s not really that fast though.
Not many are hating on him. He wasn’t great in the VFL, nor has he been in the AFL.
A player doesn’t have to be on the list for 5 years to work out that they just aren’t that good.

I think keeping Lual will be an example of the lack of ruthless decision making that has plagued us for years. He has a few attributes but I don’t think he’s ever going to be a high quality player. I don’t think he’s ever will make a mockery of us if he leaves. I think we can replace him moving forward.

We have to delist or trade several players at the end of the season and I think Lual will be one of them.

He hasn’t shown much at VFL or AFL level, not sure how he continues to get a game if I’m honest. If we want to move forward and improve as a club, he should not be on the list.

Iam really torn on this one. I don’t think there is enough to work with from lual and its the same story from his vfl games but I genuinely hate seeing Jones on the wing so which is the least shot option
its almost like playing a player down

Both of those options are , if there was a chance to use some like Davies from the Gold Coast as mid/wing and upgrading that side or sticking with Clarke on that wing i would do it
Sometimes if you play a kid to “see what they’ve got”, you find out they aren’t ready yet.

At the ground he looked completed lost on the wing. Just ran around in circles, didn’t know when to come toward the ball carrier. It’s either pressure forward or delist.

Sounds a little like Brad is playing him to just find out before delisting. Keep playing and see if he shows anything. Few games left and that will probably be it. Just one of those things

I don’t want to be too harsh, but he lacked the situational awareness/footy IQ today when we were under the pump royally and Laverde finally managed to hit a target more than 15 metres away and we had the opportunity to slow it down and breathe, look for another uncontested option, or go long down the line, and what does he do? He takes a side step or two and gets called to play on and gave the ball right back to them and at that point I gave up. Yes Laverde was horrible before that point, but you have to be smarter than that.

I still think there’s something there.
Definitely not always on show, but for mine his athletic ability at least gets him another year.
We shouldn’t have any issues with list spots given the amount of blokes we can get rid of, and worst case he makes an easy call for us next year.

I think he looks cooked. Normally I would say he goes back to the ressies and consolidates what he has learned.

I agree. He’d be pretty unlucky if doesn’t get another go round.
Having had a taste of the highest level you’d hope would set him up for a strong preseason knowing what he needs to work towards.
There are plenty I would chop before him. But he’s still a speculative at best pick in my opinion.

Poor game tonight. Looked well off the pace.
He’s shown something in other games but not tonight.
