#35 Matt Guelfi - now til 2026!

Guelfi made a huge difference when he came on. He was in everything, harassing and applying plenty of pressure, did his best to lift the team and almost stole the win for us. Should replace Ham next week.

Great goal running flat chat, slight pause then drilled it -Mercuri like.

Good energy, changed our game for the better

Hams should never play ahead of guelfi in a fwd /wing role again unless we need guelfi down back.

One of the few guys on the list who tackles with intent to hurt

Is that the one where Kelli screamed ā€œburied him, absolutely buried himā€. It was a good call by her.

28% game time, team high tackles

Don’t understand the dislike he gets. Not great by disposal (not alone) but so much courage and passion. If he leaves at the end of the year I want a ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  good pick for him

Not sure if that’s good for him or an endictment on the team. Probably both.

We are (at least were before this game) ranked 1st in tackles as a side. This was not one of our good tackling games and it showed.

Hiding him in the back pocket is a waste.

He gives so much pressure in the forwardline and through the middle playing hff.

The only question is whether he has the tank to run >14km at that intensity

I think the club should rate this kid higher than they currently do. I’d like to see him in the midfield rotation a little more often. Perhaps starting in the back 6/7 but allowed to come onto the wing.

Should play every week.

He is a victim of his own versatility in some ways but I’d be playing him ahead of ham up forward every day of the week

In fairness, one swallow does not a summer make. Nor a Reilly Reid compilation.

I believe that’s the expression.

Prettiest and hardest at it at the club nearly. Just cracks in.

I don’t mind Ham, but I agree. Guelfi’s tackling pressure and kicking would be used well in the forward line (just as the wing and in the backline)

Yep he replaces Ham
