im not too fussed with guelfi on two years. hes a borderline player, but you cant say he wont come in and perform to a decent standard. he shouldnt be best 22, but he may very well find himself entrenched for a fair portion of the season becuase he a) isnt that bad, and b) there arent too many players with his versatility.
It doesnt speak volumes for our list that he has been given a 2 year deal, but thats not guelfis fault

Guelfi deserved a trafe to another club tgat vould have perhaps rehabbed these injuries better
Somehow he finished 3rd in the 2022 Crichton.
It was the notre dame cathedral of ceilings and anyone with half a brain would have traded him back to freo then.
A good role player, has a crack, list depth.
At the moment we need to actually improve our top 10 and top 26 of our list, not the depth.
You only achieve this by turning over players like Guelfi until you find/develop/trade in someone better.

Kako takes his spot instantly I would say
I donāt see Davey either as a player, guards grass.
Not sure why he even was given senior time when Hobbs could have easily played in the forwardline, if you talk about his pace well he didnāt use it to his advantage and looked completely out of sorts, didnāt engage the contest, out positioned.
He really needs to improve Alot this year otherwise delist

If Saad ends up played as a small forward. And both Kako and Saad end up genuinely good small forwards.
And Guelfi is played as an additional defensive small forward.
Then we all pretend we donāt also have all of Menzies, Gresham and Davey on the list. Or fast forward 12 months and 2 of those actually arenāt on the list.
I doubt people are complaining about Guelfiās position on the list.
Heās not outstanding, but all premiership teams have role players at his level. His biggest problem has been that heās been sitting in the same category as Davey x2, Menzies, Wanganeen, Gresham and none have been inspiring. At all.

Worry with guelfi is the injuries
He bashes himself around a fair bit and that has to take a toll
I like him. He brings something to the team that others donāt. Absolutely no fear

One thing Iāll say about Guelfi is that he often seems involved in minor skirmishes with the opposition.
Seems to know how to be a bit of a d**khead.
