I think he was genuinely picked to do a job on Short, who was one of the few weapons the Tigs had off half back.
Have we already discussed Long term injury list influence with this injury? Guelf seems great and all as a bloke but this is beneficial for us yeah?
It would take a bad hamstring to go on LTI. McGrathâs jaw might though.
Just retire him now
Thanks Matt
2 picks MSD
Yeah itâs harsh, but finish up;
A) heâs not getting a contract
B) he knows that too
C) he will never be picked for us again anyway
D) he looks great still
Google Image Result Dont move the chair Iâve done me hammy.
Howâs that âAFL lifestyleâ going?
Goodnight sweet prince ![]()
Strong game last night
I truly believe he doesnât prepare very well and is vulnerable to soft tissue injuries
Might be controversial, and understand we need to prioritised youth, but I think we shouldâve picked him for the Challenge game this weekend, as a fitting farewell to Guelf, He does a hell of a lot behind the scenes, including weekly hospital visits to young Lexi. Personally wouldâve dropped Merrett for him, neither likely to be at the club next year, anyway.
Good on him for what heâs done in that space, but you donât give farewell games to the Guelfiâs of the world.
Laters Matt. So long and thanks for all the fish.
Heâs been excellent for his charity work but you donât gift farewell games to players like him
He always played in the right spirit and is a good clubman.
And?
You still donât gift farewell games to C or D grade players
At his best he was a B-
⌠for half a dozen games.
His best was certainly good enough, but seen far too infrequently, mostly due to injuries.
We didnât even give Heppell a send of game in Melbourne.. why would they give one to Guelfi
Who said Iâd gift him a game? Youâre jumping at shadows.
Never prepared like a professional AFL player. Subsequently he had many soft tissue injuries. Loves the party life.
