#35 Matt Guelfi - now til 2024!

Yeah I don’t get it either
Blumfield I felt was almost a bit flakey at times? Which is almost opposite of Guelfi

They’re both super good overhead, which I guess is the basis.

Should be aspiring to play the Kane Lambert role in a flag team.

So expect him to seek a trade in the next couple of seasons.

Essendon 4LYF and he should aspire to be the Jimmy Bartel in a dominant team.

Who knows what his ceiling is.

What I really like is his attack on the footy, great side step, willing to fly for the ball, runs hard and has a good like kick.

All attributes that suit the modern game. The question will be how much he flourishes and developes in a professional environment.

thinking about above qualities players come to mind are:

  • Luke Hodge
  • Shaun Burgoyne
  • Andrew McLeod
  • Ben Cousins
  • Daniel Kerr
  • Lovett-Murray

Lovett-Murray was an appalling kick of the footy, not sure he is even in the same postcode as the rest of that group of players.

The fact that he belted the carr twins at the same time gives him maaaaaaaaaaad creds.

Sporn is Mutch reborn.

Between this post and your idea of loaning players to other clubs, You’ve either lost the plot, or got the good hook ups

Lovett Murray? WTF

I reckon Mutch is a fair bit harder at the ball than Sporn was.

Lovett-Murray was providing a bit of range, but still he was almost a 150 game player.

Hows the flu? been down to Eagles training yet this week?

Lovett-Murray was a weird one. He started off as this flashy, unpredictable forward, who flew for ridiculous marking attempts, took kamikaze runs with the footy and was liable to do anything with it. Then he eventually became this gritty, hard nosed utility who was used anywhere we needed a bit of contested grunt and was happy to throw his weight around wherever it was required.

He was also Knighter’s Clarke Kennedy

One of just a few ruckman to play in a final for us this century. Fingers crossed Whoosa doesn’t ever put Guelfi in the ruck.

works hard both ways.
makes space offensively for the link play and works back to block space and pressure opposition
a handy utility who can find a goal too
