#35 Matt Guelfi - now til 2024!

Heffsgirl I know you can’t take your eyes off him, so how quick is he? Zaka quick, Hepp not so quick or Parish slippery quick?

Where exactly is this Parish slippery quick rating? I assume it’s somewhere between Zaka and Heppell.

Has a heart bigger than Phar Lap!

Not surprising. Reckon he kicked it out on the full about 3 times. Which takes his season tally to 487. Bloke kicks out on the full so often.

But, I’m a fan and I hope they keep him in. Makes up for poor kicking with a bit of grunt.

Needs to play further away from boundary line to avoid his out on the fulls!

If he dies, he dies!

Hope he’s this good next year.

Love his attack, tough little bugger.

Something about him reminds me of Mr Sunbury.

I’m a big fan of Guelfi. Great user of his body and regularly gets into goal kicking position. A better set shot than many of his team mates.
Agree he is our best 22.

He’s actually getting pretty good. Thought he might just be a role player. But improving dramatically.

I feel like Richmond built a premiership team around a dozen or so Guelfi types - just plays with the right level of hunger and intensity.

His versatility is a real asset as well and should see him get plenty of senior games next year, even with a fully fit list.

He’s got great attack on the ball and just comes across as one of those players who had great footy smarts.

He doesn’t have a complete game yet IMO but I’m sure with senior experience it will come.

Hes gotta be first in line for a jumper number upgrade when a good one comes available.

If Baguley retires you think he would want to hand over the 12 to someone like Guelfi

Nah keep #35. Best since Barry Young!

A great asset to the team is his ability to play forward, back or on ball.
It means we could leave out say McNeice, or Long or Baguley and replace them with different type of player by moving him around as needed. I think he could be a good small forward in the Richmond mould, if say Baguley doesn’t go on next year.
