We prefer guys who run all day and get no where near it

We prefer our wingman to cover ground and block space. All this getting the ball and using it with coherent offensive nous is, according to Bradley, unacceptable

Wow, Brad continues to convince everyone that he has NFI.
Blood hell Pa get over there for the boys debut

I just revisited Clarkes highlights eeel. What a a beautiful kick he has on him and looks good in the air too.
What have the VFL watchers observed?

Congrats to Clarke. Fantastic news.
(I’m only slightly suspicious that they ran out of contract announcements so needed a debut announcement as this week’s feel good fan engagement piece)
He missed 5-6 weeks with a broken collarbone, which in VFL terms is about 2 games, but he just looks a natural footballer.
Played half back early, then moved to a wing since returning from the collarbone. Takes the game on, rangey, good attack on the footy and seems pretty brave. He’ll get compared to Redman which is fair but I’d liken him to a Heath Chapman, Josh Weddle style of player. Tall and bouncey.

Hardworking country boy that can hit a target by foot, almost the complete opposite of what Dodoro would pick.

Great news. It will be a great game to do so.
As for those bemoaning that we are not debuting kids, here is yet another.

Go well young man.
Says he’s going to win the 2km time trial
Goes and wins the 2km time trial.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing Clarke the most out of all our draftees. He seems like the kind of kid we haven’t recruited enough of over the years.

As a country yobbo, I love the country yobbo charm his family has in spades.

The fact his Grandpa swears would have been more than enough for Dodoro to overlook him

Congratulations to the young man. Looks and sounds very down to earth.
