#37 Nic Martin - all of the extension, pls

I had to laugh at the news description of him last night : “mature age recruit” . He’s only just turned 20 years old this month. And is eligible for the Rising Star. Ffs.

Hopefully Nic Martin is now good enough to have his photo uploaded on the Club’s AFL Team List. Slack.

Lots of similarity to Brett Heady who was drafted very late (in the 90s IIRC).
If he turns out as good as he was, we’ll be doing very well.

This makes me sad.

Alright alright enough fun and games in here

Prepare yourselves for 9 touches and 5 FA this week

Nostradamus at work. Sounds more like Ham to me…

Nick Martins first kick resulted in a 10 week injury to Langford.

i didn’t realize it was martin with his first kick at senior level that set up the Langford for hamstring surgery !

this man is a competitive animal.

IMO Steve Johnson is the best player to have not won a Brownlow

The guy was a star, no doubt. I feel like John Coleman, Leigh Matthews, Wayne Carey and Gary Ablett Sr might have something to say about that, though.

Let’s abuse him for decades like we did Dempsey killing Hille on ANZAC Day.

The only thing Nick Martin is lacking is body strength, once he gets that he will be unstoppable.

i think he’s a bit iffy in the air too. something for him to work on.

but yeah a couple of preseasons in the gym will do him good too. i think we have quite a player on our hands here.

still keen to see what Durham can do this year too.

as this season evolves i would not be at all opposed to moving cox to a 3rd tall defender role given his jnr form there. Ridley and lav play as the primary key defenders. Stewart you could move forward or to the vfl. Langford can play as a hybrid fwd/on-baller swapping with stringer. Durham and Martin can be the wingers.

Kelly Lav Cox
Hind Ridley McGrath

Martin Parish Durham
Draper Merret Stringer

perkins Stewart snelling
tippa Wright Langford

redman hepp shiel caldwell - smith

Best player I had watched, then

Pendlebury is the one for me, especially when it’s a midfielders award, one of the most consistent performers I’ve seen.

It is very unlikely that he will be afforded the same space as what he got versus Geelong. Let’s watch him for a few weeks before we begin comparing him to the games all time greats.

It hasnt even been two decades since Dempsey killed Hille on ANZAC Day
