Those scything low drop punts hitting all sorts of angles. Will be great to watch Francis and Langford in tandem opening up the ground with their footskills this season. If the new rules allow for slightly less congestion through the arcs then those weapons become further enhanced I reckon.

We are in great shape if this happens. I’m a huge fan of Laverde too.
Doesn’t have much in common with Martin, Kelly, Degeoy, Ablett, Dangerfield, Swan, Judd for mine. The prototype footballer has explosive strength/pace to break away from packs.
Well some of those guys don’t even play and a couple of the others are far from being stars yet.
Would have something in common with Bont, Pendlebury, Fyfe and Mundy though.

Not sure if you mean Langford is the exemplar of modern mids, or the prototype.
If the latter are you expecting all clubs to start desperately drafting big bodied laconic mids who can go forward?
Should make for interesting draft conversations.
