Langford is quick and agile- NOT Explosive like Laverde. So we have two boys who have excellent builds but will both end up as very different footballers. Langford has natural endurance , agility and strength which is not always acknowledged ( because he appears to be lighter) but he is a unit and Laverde does not have the endurance but will be a straight line hard at it bull. I think there is a terrific balance in the recruitment of both of them and very happy that we have them

I get all of that apart from the “Langford appears to be lighter”. Not a thought that’s ever crossed my mind. Kid is a beast.

I’ve never thought Langford looked slow, might take him 10m to build to top speed but he looks quite quick to me (when he can be bothered).
Then again I don’t think Laverde is “explosive” (regardless of what testing says) so what do I know.
