Surley there was a year when Franklin and Roughead did?
Kind of… 2014 but Franklin was at Sydney by then.
First and Third in 2008
cluck
lol
He’s an odd one.
Taken pick 1 in the draft. Only played 3 seasons of senior footy, one each at Brisbane, Sydney and Freo.
39 games and 79 goals.
Kicked 43 in 1993 for the Bears, won their goalkicking and got delisted.
I thought he was around for longer than that.
Thank you, @bltn.
Coming home from the footy on a packed #19 tram in the late 1960s, I first heard Canned Heat’s On the Road Again played through a transistor radio.
I was a naive suburban boy and the song sounded so weird to me, I thought the battery was going flat.
Had a stinker, didn’t see the injury, but knowing Essendon prob will miss 6-8.
This guy missing any amount of time = season done.
He was walking like he did his groin
Another soft tissue to an important cog.
At least we might see caddy for an extended run
Teams seem to have worked out how to stop him. It sucks that he is injured though.
I thought he did some good leads that just didn’t either hit or was not honoured
His opponent was way too strong for him.
Lol he was nearly best on ground last week.
Maybe but the delivery into the forward 50 was diabolical. He had at least two good leads where the ball failed to reach him on the full.
He should have been hit at least 3 times when he had solid separation. That’s likely another 2 goals. He will be an massive loss.
He was playing on a guy way bigger and stronger, but we didnt make space for him to lead and our kicking into the F50 today was probably the worst i have seen all year. Dont blame him for having an off day with delivery like that.
Crucial part of the team, i hope whatever it was is just awareness of some sort, not another soft tissue.
Bad coaching from Brad, we should have put him in the midfield.
Hip pointer / corkie but I have no idea what that is duration wise
Hopefully just a corkie.
Lol, we should have stopped the team blazing away into F50. Way too many even from quality like Merrett were just the wrong options, and our structure did seem to fall apart as we tried to figure out how to handle their flooding tactics, then try and play keepings off.
Yeah, should’ve done that too. I don’t like how Brad is hesitant to switch up structures during the game though.
