If we are going to get blown away at least make it due to us having half the team rested for the year and full of kids
This blokes drop off the cliff needs to be studied. Was in AA discussions in first two months, somehow managed to turn himself into our top five useless and most unreliable and inconsistent players.
And that’s quite an achievement given our list.
It hasnt helped him having no reliable KPF around him to take some heat off.
A mid sized forward getting the best KPD most weeks makes it difficult. He is often double teamed as well.
Wright out. Stringer erratically unreliable, Caddy new and learning, Draper is Draper and no quality smalls. Puts alot of focus on Kyle and he has stumbled.
I think 90 or so goals over 2 seasons buys him 1 more year to perform at a higher level again or he should go. I am a fan of his though so slightly biased
Spot on I reckon.
He may well be carrying a hip too, so no surprise he goes straight in for surgery come September.
Stringer for mine has complicated things too for KL … not sure the chemistry is great between those two, with Stringer always trying to be top dog. You take him out and let THE become the main organiser or mini skipper down there and I reckon we’d improve a lot. Jones, Caddy and Langford would co-exist well, along with a resting Draper or 2MP. Just need to add the two smallls to get a reasonable fwd line imao. Gresham isn’t it. ADJ is another year off, Guelfi is probably one of those but is injury prone. I’d play Tex as that other small forward and I’d start put these changes in next week up in Briso…
Forwardline changes for next week …
Out: Stringer, Gresham, Menzie
In: Tex, 2MP, Perkins
What would we get?
Feels too old for 2 first rounders. A good first and a good second would be good. I’d pull the trigger, too. But it’d have to be in concert with a swathe of other similar initiatives. And we know that won’t happen.
Probably just 1 first. Maybe.
There’s no way we’ll do it
Non of our forwards keep the ball in the forward line
We will not trade Kyle
@bunch.of.you.fairweather.friends
this happens with all our players.
once all the frustrations have been levelled at the obvious targets, the attention shifts to whoever is left.
i don’t know if he’s injured or not, but nobody has looked good in our forwardline post mid-season.
I’d trade him 100%. Late 1st would be fantastic, even early 2nd. Need some draft capital here
Is the suggestion to trade Langford out of frustration?
Or because he’s one of the few guys who have actually got trade value, who’s signed up for another 3 years, not another 5-6 years?
If every team traded every player that had a drop off in form, the bl.oody AFL would be nothing more than a Merry-Go-Roumd
He definitely looks like he’s playing sore, he’s lost his power in his kicking.
Are you deliberately missing the point?
I don’t reckon he’s worth more than a pick 15-20.
I reckon you could get a top 10 for him.
Goals have a lot of value.
Have you been paying attention? We don’t send players for surgery until at least late Jan so it completely wipes out any work they’d done & ensures they have no more pre-season to get fit. This is the way.
Should have been rested / operated on yonks ago now
Trade him. And Stringer. See who we get the most for.
All I will say with Langers is we broke the don’t play guys with injuries rule. He is injured and has been for weeks but cant say specifics. Was in a moon boot midweek
