#4 Kyle Langforward

Neither he nor Caldwell look ready after injury.

Tired of people making excuses for this this guy. Outside of a purple patch in 23 & 24 he’s been a very average footballer for a long time.

For his size he’s ■■■■ weak. If the ball isn’t kicked to his advantage he struggles to work into a contest.

Move past these senior failures FFS.

If you compare him to the likes of
Brody Mihocek, who is the same height, basically plays the same position, and he’s been in the system 3 fewer years being a rookie draft selection, Kyle is simply not dependable.

I have concerns but who do we replace him with? the cupboard is farking bare

Who cares? Just play all of the kids on the list and see who show anything and shop these bargain basement hacks for any 3rd or 4th round picks we can get to use as points.

We should have been bold when it was time to recontact Redman, Langford, Ridley and Parish and taken whatever we could have to push into the rebuild 2-3 years back. Anyone with half a brain knew they weren’t dependable and our overall list has/had major flaws. But no, our useless club worries about mid table memberships #’s.

Better off bottoming right the ■■■■ out and put all our efforts into anyone under 22-23. For the clubs sake, and ours, they shouldn’t give two ■■■■■ about anyone over that age. I ■■■■■■■ love Merrett and it will never happen but if the saints or anyone else were dumb enough to pay him a fortune to leave and we get handsomely rewarded, I’d seriously entertain it.

Our list is so cooked.

Which kids?

  • Geryn who came dead farking last in the time trail pre season he’s a long way off fitness wise.
  • Vigo is not ready and will get munched by most rucks and have his confidence ruined.
  • Nyguen injured
  • Davey is closer to being delisted then getting a senior game

It’s Johnson and Tsatas and that’s it

i like how you write them off without them getting a chance, go pray to your brad shrine more

Cox will need to be given a run at some point.
I know he’s done nothing since coming back from injury, but neither has Langford.

I’m not writing them off they need to be ready we cant just throw them to the wolves becuase we need to play them

Id play another small instead… Perkins, Wright and Caddy is enough height.

Bring in Gresham, Guelfi, Menzie or ADJ.

Why does any of that matter?

We lost by ~100 with so many players who have had years and years to work on their fitness, strength and skills yet they got absolutely pantsed again.

You may as well show the likes of Gerryn, Johnson, Vigo the speed of the game and how hard they need to work to get to the standard ASAP.

Play Cox for the remainder of the year.

Put Redman, Langford and co in the 2’s to firstly embarrass them and show the kids that their performances simply are not acceptable and theirs aren’t the standards to aspire to.

If we lose by 90 or 130 points how does it matter?

The sooner we stop aspiring to be beinh mid table plodders the better. Bottom the ■■■■ out pre Tasmania

Imagine writing someone off based on where they came in the time trial in the pre season

Losing by 90 to 100 points is not good for the younger players

Having a core group of seniors players like Langford, Redman, Perkins, Gresham, Lav and co gifted games is far ■■■■■■■ worse than an 100 point loss

Perkins has just turned 23, but otherwise concur.
I agree that he should be better than he is with 86 games under his belt.

Yep fair call

Cody Brand.

There was a play (I think in the 3rd) when he was about 30 out in the pocket, he had space, looked inside where Caddy had metres, metres on his opponent and he looped a kick on his head, got spoiled and away they went. Everyone made blunders but unfortunately for someone of his experience and ability…he’s making far more errors than he should if he wants to compete at the level

Pack up shop Kyle

This ain’t your year. Poor kent

Will never play consistently again now.

Like Ridley, it’s harsh to say….bit this in again out again just kills your side.

Cooked.

sadly this is the epitome of what essendon stands for.

2 good seasons out of 10 odd in the system, is considered a leader of the club, struggling to stay on the park.
but what do you do, he ain’t being moved on, he’s going to continue to struggle to get on the park.

again the epitome of the essendon connundrum
