#40 - Zak Johnson

He doesn’t react when the opposition have the ball. He waits for someone else to pounce and is waiting for the spill/loose ball to clear it out of danger. He did this very clearly in the final quarter (was on the 7 channel feed) and ■■■■■■ me off (I even think the Dogs kicked a goal) at the time. He should be defending but his natural instinct is to hesitate and he does need to improve this. His nose is already farked so I’m not sure what he’s afraid of tbh. He is one of my favourite players to watch ball in hand and if he could get a bit more aggressive in his defensive work he’d be an absolute gun and a walk up start. No question.

Stiff, but a VFL stint will be good for him too where he can work on a few things.

ayatollah brad scott has put a fatwa on good football

Are you saying he won’t make it back into the seniors?

No VFL this week.

Will be back in next week after Ridley does his hammy.

I don’t think it’s a big deal

There is also a high probability that he is sore and needs a week off to rest his body. El-Hawli also seemed to have a bit of a left quad issue in the fourth quarter.

They will both get more opportunities.

Then come out and say this, Brad looks like a ■■■■■■■, Saad played a much better game than the week before and gets dropped, Johnson was one of our better players last week and gets dropped..

They were omitted, not managed or sore. Why tar them with the worst description if it isn’t true?

or REID.

A good team makes sense to use the VFL bye, to manage the squad, especially if there are a few players sore and the difference isn’t great between 20th - 28th players.

I thought El-Hawli was cramp, but if sore, makes sense to rest, but he won;t come straight back in if others perform.

His pace is important IMO.

And Johnsons ball use.

But why list them as “omitted” rather than “sore” on the team sheet? “Omitted” is tarring them as being dropped; you’re trying to argue we actually didn’t drop them but tarred them by saying we did. It makes no sense.

Nah I’m saying a good club could have “managed them”.

Brad dropped them. Supporter base rate those guys higher than Brad does.

Na. I’m saying once he is back he won’t get dropped again. Class

Why are they taking so long to re-sign Zac?

He must be looking at Sam Mitchells offer :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think Farrow was playing any better than Johnson. Both have elite foot skills.

Prior was initally listed as injured during the match but then it disappeared. Maybe we could manage him this week and bring Johnson in.

Farrow slightly better for me.
