#42 Adam Saad

He has gone from being a BnF smokey to being a genuine contender, if not favourite.

He is consistently in our best 5 players and arguably our most important player.

That kick from Clarke into the forward line was very un-Essendon like.

Shush, don’t tell anyone.

What an absolute Legend. So glad he chose to come play with us. Would love to be able to reward Saad, Stringer, Smith and Shiel with a premiership one day.

Just watched a replay of the lesser of his two stellar centre square intercepts as GWS were heading for certain goals.

Dude won us the game with his fusion of insane speed and uncanny instinct.

Is known for his attacking but I believe his defensive skills are by far his biggest strength.

Can we make a petition to get this guy in the AA team?!

Gavin

When we picked him up I thought he was a fast, evasive runner and not much else.

His defensive skills are elite. His disposal is elite. And he’s pretty awesome overhead as well.

We are very lucky to have him in the team.

He needs to do his duty to his God and to his Football Club and get started on that big Muslim family, the kind that’ll make Pauline tremble and Eddie fume.

Whoever it was (Dodoro??) at Essendon who first suggested we should trade for him, they deserve the biggest of praises. Has been a fantastic pick up. He gives his all and gives it all the time.

If Smith was good this year like last year we’d have all three Ss performing at their best.

They will all be our KP players, mostly leading forwards.

Another fantastic game from Saad today.

Gets all the attention from the media for his dash and speed going forward but his defensive skills are equally as strong and critical to our team. Rarely beaten one on one and his closing speed to create a contest (and more often than not win the ball) is elite.

That passage of play just outside defensive 50 in the last quarter when he managed to deftly manoeuvre the ball between defenders before scooping it up and booting it long (before being taken out by Parker) was brilliantly done… and also so important to the overall result because Sydney were pressuring hard at that point.

Super player.

Well said. Took a hit for the team, stopped their forward momentum and got us moving the other way. Was a huge passage of play in the context of the game.
