That kicking i s basically what got him from VFL to AFL, and Pop Kelly was generous and gave him the ball regularly in games, when Tippa either ran the lines off half back or fired laser precision passes off down field.
There was never any “Tippa, forward or back ?”. Once he went forward, that was it.
