Plaudits to the coaching crew for recognising he could do some serious damage today.

So. Does Joe, Stew and McNernan fit in the same forward line?

Smack

Is actually an AFL standard key forward, and he didn’t used to be.

He’s actually improved since he Joined us.

Good on him, I love the bloke.

And came down without the ball!

Said it once already but the McKernans and Dea’s and Baguleys of the world are what good sides are all about.

They make others walk tall and do it with a minimum of fuss.

Dare to dream.

The opposition match ups would be intriguing

Only if Stringer turns himself into a midfielder.
Otherwise it’d be like Knights trying to play Lloyd, Gumby, Hille, Ryder and Laycock or whatever it was.

Was a complete Joe replacement:

  • great marking
  • going up the ground and deep forward
  • 2nd ruck
  • good kicking
  • bad kicking

Yes, … the points were a bummer, … but he hardly lost a contest and kicked a bag.

Brought the ball to ground many times for smalls too. Great game from Smacker.

Ah, yes. Stringer. Fark, what a puzzle. At least the Hooker thing seems settled.

This is why you play players in form. His preseason was clearly the best of our key fowards and he should have been playing from round 1.

Only because Joey was probably injured even then… Stringer, JD, Stewart and Cale are all in front of him. He is backup. That’s it.
