yeah we know you really love him.
Thereās no way McKernan will get selected OVER Daniher. They might play together though.
Vander Haar kicked a massively long goal with a broken leg.
Yeah Iād love to see that.
My best 22 pre-season had Stringer, Daniher and McKernan as our tall forward targets. Hopefully we can get them all fit by mid year and develop some cohesion and consistency.
Yep. With Raz, Walla and Begley/Lav. On paper itās a seriously good forwardline.
No but player should already be motivated themselves. Hey woosha?
Well done to smack though, great game.
Okay, okay semantics, letās say McNurnan inspired an already motivated group.
Yes, that he follows Whateley on twitter.
DE-FARKING-LIST
From the Skins injury update:
Before we were using MRI (scans) this was the sort of injury that would (see the player) return in three weeks and they probably would have re-torn, so weāll take the time to make sure that heals.
I just watched the Dees game again and focused on Smacks 2nd half. Given his injury he was very mobile and competitive at most contests and did some great work even up to the half back line. Awesome effort that Iām sure was driving his team mates. He and Joe D will be a major forward combination ā cannot wait.
They are probably the same as they always have been. Clubs MRI everything now, so have more info than in days gone by. But itās also possibly why recurrences have dropped, 15 years ago, Smack would probs be back playing in a month.
You walk in to the clinic with the same injury, the sports doc/physio is just giving you their best guess.
10-15 years ago players randomly got hamstring reoccurrence when they appeared fine. The issue is the hamstring has more tendon in it than most muscles. Itās a blend of tendon and muscle, so if the tendon is involved itās far far slower to heal. Before modern imaging you couldnāt tell the difference between the injuries, so the standard 3 week reco wouldnāt fix the tendon and itād go again straight away.
Iād say in 3 out of 4 of heads of the hamstring there is more tendon than muscle.
So if we donāt use an MRI, Smack will be back in three weeks, kick another bag, and play injured for the second half!
He only kicks a bag every 4 weeks anyway so it seems like a pretty good system.
So it was the same Hamstring/leg? Is that correct?
If youāre gonna be a blind happy clapper at least do it right and commit fully. Enough with the repeated jibes at Smack. Since Joe went down early last year heās been great on the field and loved amongst the group.
Iāve never said anything about Smack that isnāt true. Heās inconsistent. Iāve said it a few times. Itās weird that everybody on this forum has an opinion of who should or shouldnāt be on the field and why but you pull me up on this. Thereās rolling commentary about Langford, Parish, Baguely, Myers, Ambrose, Zaka etc and i crack a couple jokes about McKernan being average and you get offended. Itās ok to have different opinions.
