There are crack whores walking the street at this very second who are thinking, ‘at least I’m not Damien Barrett.’

Barrett was just lucky that sliding doors is published on a Friday. Imagine if it was a Monday column. He would have had a field day.

The Rotting Fish Gil saying McKenna wont be allowed out early. Smelling a bit like a stitch up… “Keep him iso because we can’t suspend him for breaking the rules”

Spot on. Even someone like Slobbo (who, let’s face it, is about as risible as Parrot in his own right…) has outlined on several occasions his dislike of him.
It’s only parasites like Fat Hutchy and the yobs at Dribble M that seem to tolerate him. And yet even Jabba the Hutch has never seen fit to drag him onto his skidmark of a radio station…

“What matters is he tested positive on Friday and Saturday”

But what about the negative result from the Wednesday test? And the two negative results on Tuesday and Thursday afterwards?

Are they saying he had COVID-19 for just the weekend?

Seems like the right thing to do to me. Everybody that tests positive has to isolate for 2 weeks. They can’t start making exceptions for AFL players.

no they don’t. they isolate until they’ve recorded 2 consecutive negative tests or 2 weeks. Conor, who is subject to regular testing could* come out earlier. The 14 day thing was introduced earlier in the pandemic when test were of a premium and they didn’t want to be burning them on people expected to be negative.

I agree. I’d be pretty annoyed if there was an exemption for AFL players.

Not my understanding. They said if you return 2 negative tests then you’re clear of the virus. Show me one example of somebody that’s tested positive, then negative twice and been released early? Or even where that rule is written?

100%. Imagine the outrage if something went wrong.

“STAY THE ■■■■ HOME”*

*unless you’re one of our favourite footy players

Can someone permanently isolate the fark out of gil so we don’t have to listen to the pompous corrupt prick.

That’s one thing we can all agree on.

What about - we’d be better off if Sophia the robot ran the AFL, do we all agree on that too?

Well the Victorian chief medical officer said as much yesterday…

Was a topic of discussion during the National Press Club address back in March which was streamed on Iview. The initial policy was 2 consecutive negative tests however they introduced the 14 day period as well so as to avoid testing everybody infected multiple times just to confirm recovery when we didn’t have a heap of tests available.

Agreed Mr Truck. You presented a most compelling case.

Look i want Conor out, but i’m a selfish ■■■■■■■. There’s no way we can sit here and argue that’s it’s in the public’s best interest though. He’s already 11 days in. I hope he’s putting serious kms into his legs so we can play him next week.

He’s 6 days in. The commencement of his isolation was Saturday.
If he’s forced to serve his full 14 day isolation he won’t be playing next week either.
