#46 Lachlan Blakiston

Eh, might get 4-5 years out of him and he’s shown he’s pretty handy depth at worst.

Right positions definitely!!

Straight replacement for Lav (when we actually have players fit again - if), showed him up tonight, great game.

Chipping sideways, backwards and as far as you can down the wing helps.

Thought he played well though.

I like. Please keep.

He’s a keeper. Good for 10 years. He’ll make a CHB.

Redman and McGrath can’t do that

Not a fair assessment. He’s one of the few in the team that dares to kick into the corridor. He’s actually very creative and seems to have a natural football brain.

Now he’s played a good game and we’ve all talked him up, Darcy is gonna kick 10 on him next week. Nothing surer.

He’s good enough to let go of Laverde but that’s about it. Handy depth for a few years hopefully. His lack of speed and kicking ability will be tough to overcome at his age.

Very good closing speed though

Pity he wasn’t drafted 5 years ago.

Aged 26 means he is a really line ball decision as to whether he stays on the list.

There is a player there somewhere but whether we have the time to invest effort and a list spot is the question.

I’d be willing to give him a crack to see what he can do with a full pre season and better players around him.

He can’t do much more than what he is

That’s not exactly fair. The bloke has played like 5 games. Laverde’s had 10 years.

As I said, he’s already better than McKay. He’s best 22 even with Reid and McKay fit

We need him down back, but I’d love to see more of him in the ruck. Has a terrific leap.

Versatile depth for a couple of seasons

Agree. I’d rather Blakiston for 2 more than Harrison Jones
