#46 Lachlan Blakiston

This is a Geelong type pick up and people still ■■■■■■■ complain. He will be 30-31 by 2030 when we may actually be decent.

Or we would get long term injuries…

I thought he was a real battler at the beginning, but he definitely has a crack and would be awesome “hybrid depth” by replacing both Goldy and Lav at the same time.

He’s impressing me even more now though.

I still think he’s nowhere near a look though because Ridley Reid and McKay will play every game next year and Hayes will be champing at the bit for a go, and frankly should be the better player of he and Blaki. For that reason, my dream scenario is he keeps impressing for the next month and a club who needs depth now offers us pick 25-30 for him. I’m probably dreaming indeed though.

Youre only saying that because he has pony tail!

Agree 100%. He’s only been on an AFL list since the 28th of May FFS…1 and a half months! Doing bloody well to slot in and contribute more than some of the guys that have been on AFL lists for years and years

Wait til you guys see him play up forward. Will blow minds…

Yeah I think he’s a great find for a MSD. However he’s like McKay and always looks for a handball option to not kick it. So I get the impression he doesn’t rate his own kicking
Maybe that’s also because he’s not sure on structure and where to send the ball?

That’s B.S.

He regularly tries to be creative by kicking into the corridor and pulls it off.

I read what he said and I was like … what the ■■■■

This guy is 10cm taller than Lav, so is going to be able to physically compete against players that Lav can not. He looks pretty coordinated and agile for a guy who is 203cm. I think keeping him on for another year is a no-brainer at this point.

Pretty rare you see a ruckman play back and do a decent job, if he’s also given a crack in the forward line and kicks a few snags, could have a very valuable versatile player

What happened to I disagree, why the meanie words.

Which for some on this board might still be an improvement in fitness

Gets a gig next year for sure

I just worry about his hard hands. Sometimes easy marks pass straight through. That being said he has been good, honest and is worth another contract.

Given our injuries at both Ruck and KPD, maybe it is a good idea to keep him on the list for next year.
