This guy is a find. I’m sure he’s constantly been told and looked at as to all the shortcomings why he delisted and why he wont make it.
When you just have to focus on what he does well, and that is continually put himself in positions to kick goals. Just has a way of getting 3 or more looks at goal per game.
Just a good footy IQ as a forward and beautiful kick. Mind you i think Edwards is similar in that they just natural forwards who know where to be.
Hopefully we have secured him already, cos even in this form im sure other clubs also be enquiring to get him on the cheap.

He just has that knack of being at the right place, particularly the drop zone off a pack or for a badly kicked ball. Definitely deserves a contract.

His VFL form has converted to AFL level no issues, he’s just a clever forward. Players like this are out there, guys that are good footballers but recruiters continually overlook them for one reason or another.
One thing I’d like him to improve in the off season is halving contests in the air and bringing the ball to ground better. This would add a string to his bow that is needed in the modern game and seems a small weakness at the moment.

This guy makes me happy I suggested him a month out from the mid season draft and copped a bit for it, so to see him go well is awesome

The thing I like about McMahon is that he kicks those opportunistic goals - where the ball is scrambling around in the goal square. He somehow gets the ball, gets it on his boot, threads it past other players and between the big sticks.
Mostly we don’t kick those goals.
