Cox despite showing VFL form up forward is currently on the wing.
Pity the 6:6:6 rules exists. Otherwise Essendon could line up 16 on the wings!

Just curious - what make him ‘not AFL’ standard. Bonus points if you can contrast that with Jones.

He’s crafty and knows where the sticks are, Caddy, May, Edward’s, McMahon and two genuine small forwards would be dangerously unpredictable.

Jones isn’t AFL standard either.
I’m not convinced that McMahon is but I’d like to see him have a crack and I do think he has a couple of weapons but is that enough? Give him a go

It’s actually a shame May and Edwards are injured. It would be great see us give a 5 game stretch of continuity to:
F: McMahon, May, El Achkar
HF: Kako, Caddy, Edwards
Not saying that’s the future forwardline but why not give them a crack to see what they’ve got at AFL level as a forward 6!
Definitely lacks pace and aggression but why not find out for sure

I’d like to be wrong but not strong or mobile enough, easily shut down by a very good defender, frequently too good for VFL and young defenders. Of course he’s better than Jones atm, and should be given all the chances in our abysmal senior squad until we get May back to partner Caddy

I expect he’ll come in now. Worked on his game, put in the hard yards during his injury break, reaping the benefits now (his game outside of goalkicking looked better to me the last two weeks since coming back).

Deserves a send off game at least if we’re going to delist him. Been a reliable contributor his whole VFL career for us at least.
With May injured. Cox and Jones undeniably not it. I’m all for bringing him in.
But “deserves a send off game” because he’s been a solid contributorn in the VFL for a season and a half. ■■■■■■■ lol.

The send off game was a joke but he does just kick his 2-4 week in week out. Deserves a call up for 6 surely.
