There were times in the last two years when we were screaming out for a small forward and it would have been justified. Some of the games Zaka got last year, or when Ambrose was sub vs. WCE.
I think that was 2020.
If Gaven has any sense, he will take Tex and get the hell away from this club.
Having watched a fair bit of VFL from the couch, Third played some great games, and in bursts was good, however did not really kick on in the last half of the season and I was expecting this.
Well done to Tom had a red hot go, best wishes.
I hope they keep Cian for one more year. Heās a big lump of a lad, athletic and good skills. Could be a good CHB.

Whoās gaven?
Made huge developmental gains last year but plateaued this year. Nevertheless, I still would have liked him to get at least one game to have the four generations of Hird etched into the record books. I am a bit fan sentiment and history. I was also a fan of the way he went about his game. Although he was a little bloke, his tackles stuck and he went hard at the ball. This was something that really was lacking in the AFL team.

More a decision to go round ball or Sherrin, whether he wants to play in a team as a sport or to have a profile as a professional in a professional sport?

Agreed. If they are looking at playing him as a defender, I donāt think they are playing to his strengths. He needs to be thought of as a small forward/midfielder personally.
Itāll be interesting to see how he goes in a good VFL system
