play him in the VFL and then debut in the Qualifying Final
our backline is stacked at VFL level, need Tsatas in the engine room.
b: Wanganeen Baldwin McBride
hb: Massimo Cox Montgomerie
*Munkara
I would love to see Wanganeen tried in defence, like they have with munkara, maybe send Lord forward.
He better have 20 touches in the 1st half this week, otherwise Iām posting in the Dodoro thread.
Cox and Tsatas could actually be in a half back/wing rotation in the 2ās
If we are being ruthless, Heppell.
A lot of other players should be dropped before Heppell
Probably, but thatās who Iām putting out there.
If hes playing well enough in the 2s id bring him in for Hind, Hep or Snelling/Tippa/Menzie with a bit of a reshuffle. And I would play him half back and a bit on the wing in the 1s and slowly build up his on ball time from there. If everyones fit he doesnt get a spot but there will always be someone injured.
Why? Because you think heās the oldest and had a ā ā ā ā start this season?
Letās just pray he doesnāt get injured in the VFL.
Hind, Tsatas offers the same line-breaking pace and HBF will get him more involved than forcing him to play forward
Now youāve done it
Sorry
Hi Tbone, Iād wait till I saw which players are injured or out of form and that Tsatas would provide something extra, then bring him in. On current trends his progress is exciting so it wonāt be long before he has his opportunity.
Not saying Iāve seen enough of Tsatas to make a meaningful contribution here but from his draft profile the wing would seem to play to his weaknesses (endurance, defensive running) rather than his strengths (hands off the ruck, awareness in tight, explosive speed from stoppages). Itās a bastard of a position at afl level.
Could he play a Sheezel role at tge start of his career?
Tsatas will be the best player from this draft and his family will make the best gyro.
Weāll want to delist him after his second VFL game.
Then leap up to trade him by his third AFL game.
By the time trade period comes around, weād want a first round pick for himā¦
Get on Tsatas for 2024 Rising Star, can join Heppell and McGrath as winners
Iād put HFF in the same bracket.
thereās often a decision the club needs to make between copping a bit of sub-par defensive running from a talented kid who needs games to develop, vs continuing with (eg) a 30 yo Zaha (or someone) who does the defensive stuff, but isnāt adding much else.
Felt like we leaked a lot of goals from overlap last year when we were pumping games into Perkins, Martin, Cox, Mass, Hobbs etc You only need one guy to lose track of their man to cause an overlap all the way down.
Thereās been an adjustment made there, a lot more cautious in our positioning on the wings/flanks, and weāre not pumping as many games into the kids.
But also those players who have come into the side have all individually improved their defensive decision making & running.
