A) someone decided a calf injury can’t make you miss six weeks
and

The club rang SEN and offered to send them copies of the MRI scans of Joeys calf.
Several ex players on SEN said that a corked calf can develop into a calf strain, iow the kick in the calf can aggravate the underlying muscle and subsequent stress on the muscle wound site can lead to a tear.
Sounds possible, feasible and not outside the realms of reality.
