Some things are not black and white and that there is only one approach. Mistakes/wrong way to do it happen. Hird had three years of chronic foot stresses. Was that treated the right way? Was John Quinn just lucky when he joined as fitness dude and it was going to come good regardless? Ditto for example Gumby. Was he just a chronically rehab bloke or could something better have been done?

Many thought Joey didn’t look right. And it wasn’t one lone crazy voice shouting at the clouds. And now we have this situation. It’s not a matter of blame because like I said there is more than one approach and what the club and Joey decided to do may have worked. But it wasn’t successful and people have a right to reasonably suggest he should not have been played.

Everything you say is correct to me. I agree entirely.
I also know where I would out my trust if it came down to my own health - or my kids’ for example. It wouldn’t be with someone watching them on TV. It would be with professionals. Who - as you point out - make mistakes, sometimes. A lot less mistakes than those not qualified and with no info.

I don’t think it is as completely ludicrous as some are making out to question whether Joe may have been mismanaged. I don’t think it is a burn the place to the ground type thing but the club is definitely not infallible / incapable of making mistakes in the injury management department (nor are other clubs, look at Adelaide). He is the most valuable on-field (and our supporters to one side, perhaps off-field) asset that we have and him missing the best part of the year when entering his prime warrants questions.

The most important thing will be that the club (and Joe) learns from this.

This is exactly how I feel.
I’m as frustrated as anyone about the Joe situation but ultimately we don’t know the exact situation and whether they ■■■■■■ up or if ■■■■ just happened so it’s pointless yelling at clouds about it.

But as I said earlier, I ■■■■■■■ hope Richardson knows and is getting to the bottom of it.
