Bloke’s improved his goal kicking to 63% (~75% since round 6) and still getting panned for missing the occasional set shot. Wot the actual ■■■■. Really.

Goal kicking is rubbish across the league these days - we really did have golden age with Lloyd, Lucas etc.

I think it stands out for us coz we seem to kick ourselves out of games so often. If I was to have someone kick for goal to win after the siren it would be Raz, and even he was off on the weekend.

That is a seriously impressive highlight real for a single year. Buddy wishes he could pull down massive hangers like that over and over again.

I think his season has been underrated in some quarters. He just needs to convert inside the chapel V from 30 out or closer and he will be considered amongst the best kpfs in the comp.
100 goals combined from he and hooker next year, mark it down, 60 each is not totally out of the question.

I think somewhere between 80 and 90 goals combined would be somewhat optimistic.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if Hooker and Brown switch between forward and back through the year depending on matchups and whether we are being smashed by the opposition forwards or not

I don’t think it’s crazy at all. I reckon it’s highly likely they’ll get 100 combined at a minimum unless injury intervenes

Cmon Ivan, lets not get too ahead of ourselves. I think Joe can kick 50 but 100 between Joe and Hooker is outrageous. You got Hooker who has only played half a season as a kpf. Elite goalkickers don’t transform over night. However if Joe improves his accuracy around the 30m mark, he could well achieve 60 but that is a big IF.

I am with Ivan on this. In 2015 Hooker was an elite contested mark, being 6th in the competition, In 2016 Joey was an elite contested mark, also being 6th in the competition. Neither are elite goal kickers . But given enough supply and even a small improvement in accuracy they will cause major headaches for our opponents in 2017. Very few teams have 2 elite tall defenders available to be able to handle 2 elite tall forwards…

Joe is made for finals.

His numbers are just shy of elite, just. but he’s played barely 20 games as a forward. He has all the tools. He stands out a bit more too when you consider he’s number 4 banana. He scored more than Charlie Cameron for instance and has half his experience. He just outside the top 20 goal kickers in the comp. Nothing to sneeze at.

He compares very favorably with bruest this year, who is admittedly having a quieter one

Only needs to stop slipping over and he may reach elite… He is an elite bloke though, and the kids love him which is a massive massive thing for EFC families given the last few years of getting bullied in the schoolyard over the saga.

Anyways, what about that Joe guy. He’s pretty good.
