#6 Jye Caldwell - thru 2028

I dont think Perkins has looked sub par at all.

I rate his improvement just below Durhams.

Agreed. Heā€™s developing very nicely - a nice balance of mid-forward. All of his metrics are up this year.

Agree. Although, canā€™t wait to see them both dominate a game.
I feel like Perkins was humming early in the season, then got injured and then Durham had his break out post.

This weekend however had them both playing really well together. So exciting to see them build in tandem.

Yeah, hopefully, itā€™s just hard to fit them all in.
I think Tstatasā€™ height and pace separates him, which we are lacking, and that pace at least on paper I see him completing the others better, than Hobbs.

Itā€™s a good problem to have. We have plenty of options moving forward.

If someone told me both Perkins and Durham were going to go inside midfield and have the impact they have had thus far, I wouldnā€™t have believed them.

I think Caldwell is the type of player that doesnā€™t have to have big possession numbers. The way he regains possession of the ball for the team by bashing and crashing is as valuable as kicks and handballs.

Not only did he show no signs of being a bit wary with the calf tightness he experienced the week before but in fact I thought he actually looked quicker than Iā€™ve ever seen him!

Yeah, I wonder whether due to his soft tissue injuries he doesnā€™t accelerate to the most of his natural ability.

Curious if itā€™s a sign of the list and club maturing. Did e feel something not 100% flagged it to medicos they did the right thing and subbed him

That contest with Whitfield oh my.
This guy might beat LAV in the courage award this year.

Yeah potentially. An unintended or less expected consequence of having better depth is that it probably makes it a bit easier to err on the side of caution in situations like this too i.e. having a guy of the ilk of Hobbs as the sub ready to come in and cover for him.

Rewatching giants game again. Jye is just all class. Like Baldwin mentioned at that podcast catch upā€¦his hands are beautiful. Will only get better. Maybe like a mobile jobe/diesel/even hird had that freak poise and vision with the hands.

agree with comments about Caldwellā€™s elite hands and handballing, but added bonus is that heā€™s a very strong overhead mark

elite hands indeed

this guy stepped up massively today with no Parish, and the skipper a bit down. Heā€™s been good all year, but today I thought him our best

Yep, he really did and actually didnā€™t get that many center bounces either didnā€™t think. Really trust him with the inside 50 kick

Saw him get at least one centre clearance running in from HF.
Heā€™s really putting it all together
