As long as he is ok for his end of season trip, that’s the main thing
Give him a week off at least. He needs a freshen up. Tsatas back in please.
That sounds sensible to manage him this week.
There must be some doubt on Calders tomorrow. Tsatas may be a late inclusion.
caldwell could have one leg and brad would pick him.
he has stunk it up all year and doesnt get dropped
It’s because he’s as hard as a cats head. Something we lack.
He hasn’t showed it much this year at all, he has barely been near the ball to be tough
He and parish dont work in the same midfield often, at all
Look at his stats from last year. He was having big effects on games. Genuinely tracking very, very well before he got injured
As soon as parish is a mainstay, one of durham or caldwell always have less impact, if not both when all 3 play
Mind boggling that the coaches don’t see it
The last 4 games he played he wasn’t really getting that many CBAs probably due to his form. The midfield mix has changed a heap in the first 9 rounds. Merrett, Parish, Caldwell, Durham, Tsatas, Sharp, Robey, McGrath, Kako, Roberts and now Setterfield all spending decent time in there.
This guys stinks. Can’t think of a worse season of someone in their prime.
Add him to the list of those who came to Essendon as promising players but then stagnated/went backwards.
Either he’s not fit, not putting in or not being coached properly - maybe all the above - but he’s lucky to be getting a game right now.
His disposal is just awful at the moment. Has to be a confidence thing.
He is still playing like he is concussed. Just does really dumb stuff repeatedly.
I wonder if he’s not happy with Brad, something seems way off with him this year.
To blame it on Parish for not playing well is such a cop out.
Just needs to pull his finger out and get out of this form slump, otherwise the likes of Sharp and Robey will sail past him in the pecking order.
He has also never been any good. He has only ever been an ineffective stat passer
Actually, Jye came to Essendon as a chronically injured young player with a total of 11 games over 2 years at GWS. After an injured ruined first year at EFC, he then averaged 21 games over the next 3 and improved year on year. Injuries limited his output last year (11 games). Somethings up with him this year for sure, but I’m not sure he fits your narrative.
