#7 Zerrett - could double his Crichton/Peter Crimmins by 2027

Slogan could be “Comfortably numb”

I think it could be either things or even both. He could have been poor at giving feedback to older players and then ignored the younger players.

Cya Zach. For years we’ve all been crying out for a pivotal moment that will finally change the course for our once great club. I reckon this is it. Once Zach and any other ‘half in half out’ players clear out, the remaining loyal players will galvanise and take this club into the future. It won’t be pretty to start with, and it will take years, but we will finally be doing it the right way.

You’re not thinking like a neutral

Imagine if Merrett’s been the problem all along and next year Redman, mcKay, Perkins, Jones, Guelfi and McGrath all suddenly become great players! We will have to ask Menzie to come back.

I feel like Redman has been tapped on the shoulder for a co-captaincy with McGrath. His comments were very strong.

We’re gonna need a bigger canon.

I’m a very petty person, my list is long and starts with some kids in primary school.

Anyone else loving this all a bit?

Clean out imminent.

Club forced into some type of action.

Fans coming together in their collective loathing of Zac

Keep it coming!

The Stringer stuff is certainly confirming my newfound disgust for merrett.

So in the seemingly likely event that Merrett publicly refuses to attend the Crichton and his management continue leaking against the club to get Merrett traded, how well do you think it’ll go next year if he’s held to contract? I imagine it’ll be a twelve month campaign of doing everything in his power to get out and it’ll show on field in his performance and within the club. Imagine what it would be like stumping up to work most days of the week to suffer through dealing with a bloke as sooky as Merrett is making himself out to be. You wouldn’t even give him games in the twos the situation would be so toxic.

Yeah, it’s like they’ve had a chat and a laugh about it.

Not sure why people are getting so worked up over former players making cheeky emoji responses. It’s pretty funny.

I think Stringer genuinely thinks this is a good way of showing support. I don’t think he’s the sharpest tool.

There’s a reason he didn’t have instagram for a decade. Well, a few reasons really…

I see it as an opportunity to close ranks in a us against them scenario

I don’t want a clean out of good players

I don’t want to sit through another season of unwatchable footy

I don’t want another season bottom 4 where all we have to look forward to is draft picks

I want the club to send a message to all the players that a contract means something and you don’t get traded unless we arrange it
