#7 Zerrett - could double his Crichton/Peter Crimmins by 2027

Am I right in believing he was not chaired off? Is that what normally happens or is there a whiff of something happening…..

Zach didn’t wanna be the first 300 game player to never win a final.

This thread is about to hit 10,000. I’m expecting a savage new thread title. Don’t let me down.

Someone will pay, you can trade up to 2 years into the future picks now.

Redman speaking with rare candour tells us more than the mere words. This is a bucket load on Zach. The genie is out of the bottle. Not sure Zach will turn up to collect his Crichton.

This is well said and perhaps PR is probably the wrong terminology to use. What I was trying to articulate is that Zach and his management have staged a series of leaks with Tom Morris to get it a trade into the realm of possibility and we’ve have bitten back with ‘oh that’s disappointing’ - and realistically despite our stance we’ll end up trading him regardless. It’s just so weak and Zach is getting exactly what he wants and the tail continues to wag the dog.

The fact it appears to be somewhat galvanising I agree is good but if your club captain and best player of the last 10-15 years is the catalyst to galvanise the group, it just speaks of a completely unserious football club.

He’s still a massive chance. Hawks have overachieved the last 2 years.

Zach may be a big part of the problem.

What would be the harm to rig the chrichton medal to make sure he loses?

Don’t worry, the despair wears off very quickly and then you start to enjoy the ride.

The other silver lining people are not talking about is this will give us the old Parish back. Zacky and Parish have never been able to dominate and get big numbers together. Its either one or the other. No Zack should mean Parish can be the super disposal king again

Reading into a lot of things now, but when this vid was posted I just thought ‘is that it’? For a guy with so many accolades, your captain, I remember thinking at the time this was bereft of anything really deep or affectionate in the eve of his 250th.

Disagree. As I have said he wanted more cash. Draper has gone, Rids shopping himself around. Zach saw more :money_bag:. Now he’s not getting that.

Hundred percent i said this the other day.

It would have been even more awkward had he moved played us in round 1 and played his 250th against us

He got a guard of honour but wasn’t chaired off. Not sure if that’s usual

Think there’s enough smoke around now to suggest that’s a possibility.

But it should have never got to this. Regardless of what you think (and there will be silver linings), having to trade your contracted captain/best player/6 time BnF winner is nothing short of an unmitigated disaster.

It’s probably the opposite. It forces us to cash in on him while he has value, rather than spend 2 years not getting where he wants to be and losing him to FA.

We could draft 5-6 top 10 players this year and it could finally turn things around for us.

Not when you want to reset and rebuild hard. Look at what the Hawks did few years back. Everyone said they were stupid and crazy and cut too deep. Would not win a game in 2023 etc. Now look at them.
