#7 Zerrett - could double his Crichton/Trevor Barkers by 2027

Watching his presser, I’m really pleased with how he’s matured as a person, leader the last couple of years. Seems to be growing well into his role, speaking eloquently and more confidentially now. He’s certainly appearing to really immerse himself in this captaincy and has a healthy perspective on the team, club and the dynamics of the evolving industry. Hard not to admire his personal growth, in light of his first ‘fail’.

How come Parish has become a Life Member before Zach? What am I not considering? Surely he deserved it before Parish.

Already there Davo

He isn’t officially a life member. He is certainly eligible and will eventually become one, though.
Maybe he just doesn’t want it yet.

Ive always found the concept of giving or receiving a life membership while youre an active player a bit odd. Feels like something you should get after you retire. Wouldnt be surprised if Zach felt the same- he isnt one to get carried away with himself

Nah, I mean the real Davo the Willy Wonka of the Gold Coast !!

Zac strikes me as the sort of guy that will play until he wins a premiership, and won’t show his face around the club again if he doesn’t.

Zach is well on his way to becoming a top 20 Bomber of all time.

If he manages to captain us to a flag he is easily top 10… and really up there with the likes of Watson, Fraser, Madden etc… just under the rung of Reynolds, Coleman, Hird and Hutchinson

Our greats have all been in top 1 to 3 in the league when they played.

Merrett isn’t even in the top 20 players in the league over the past 7 years let alone the history of our club. He is a good player with some champion qualities, a developing leader in a horrible era of the EFC history.

Someone like Madeen is arguably the best ruckman of all time. Merrett isn’t even among the top 10 midfielders going around right now.

EDIT: This post is more or less a duplicate of the one before it.

So why did Parish get it before Zach? Its might be an embarrassing oversight…

Matthew Lloyd got it before James Hird.
Steven Alessio got it before Dustin Fletcher.

It’s just how it happens.
