#7 Zerrett in the beginning

I’m not sure it’s worth getting worried about after 1 game. Not many teams are going to be as disciplined with defensive/tagging plans as the dockers. If he’s closed down for a couple more weeks, then it becomes a concern.

To be honest he was copping the same at the end of last year, Sydney went really hard at him the final last year

Agree.
Apparently the same Dockers tagger held Hall to 5 touches yesterday
Two rounds in and “ communications specialists” again confusing hypotheticals with actuals

Anyway. soon enough McGrath will be doing enough damage to have the opposition thinking twice about who they go to.

And don’t forget Smith & Parish

It’s spot on but it’s his 4th ■■■■■■■ year…

None of those guys will be good enough to take pressure off of Zerrett.

Maybe McGrath if he can elevate his kicking to Zerrett’s level.

But while they are good midfielders that I am very happy to have in our side, they aren’t Zerrett level, and I don’t think they ever will be.

Smith is going to surprise you.

Is Zach even playing today?

wtf is wrong with him?

Isnt spreading like he use to.

Has copped the tag for 2 years now so it’s not an excuse.

Not sure why we keep looking to Zerrett!

It’s the others around him that need to lift so we aren’t so easily shut down in midfield.

agreed, but he’s miles from himself.

Yep, but he has credits in the bank.

I got ■■■■ down last week for criticism of Parish but we have no depth in midfield and we need some of these young kids to step up.

He’s being managed as is Myers.

Only 79 minutes and 13 touches. If he isn’t fit he shouldn’t be playing

I think he has put on 2-3 kgs too much over summer.

Needs to get back to his run and spread game.

I’d take just the smallest iota of effort at the moment let alone run and spread.

was gotten into again, they were niggling him off the ball all game, not a single team mate stepped in to help, they’re all alone out there atm, none of them is playing for each other, it’s a sad sad time at essendon fc i’ll tell you what, the very opposite of fabric

It’s not our style to stick up for our own players or play with some nastyness. We’re a team full of choir boys. JJ must love the fact that we virtually kiss his ■■■ when we play them. When he got done for running too far any other team would’ve got stuck into him and let him have it and you know what, he’s the kind of guy that crumbles with that kind of stuff, but our boys probably asked him if he was ok after conceding that free
