AFL 360 showed some vision of a bombers training session just now and Edwards layed a heavy tackle on Zerrett. He got up very gingerly with some assistance from fantasia and then showed him leaving the track. can anyone at training confirm if it happened today?A corky for Zerrett was reported, yes.
Watched the replay yet again last night, not sure if it has been mentioned, his work rate is amazing for a young kid.
Numerous times throughout the game he just kept putting in second, third and sometimes even fourth efforts to pressure multiple opponents without getting any reward. He just doesn’t give up this kid.
One particular passage in the 2nd qtr on our attacking 50 rhd fwd flank (about 13:20-30) where he ran in a triangle harrassing three different Hawks where he even had Luke Hodge backtracking and almost panicked him into an error. He did it again late in the final qtr too near the interchange gates and even at that stage he he didn’t seem to tire.
Unbelievable efforts from someone so young and early in their career.

To make away with Zerrett, Langford and Laverde with our first round selections from the past 2 drafts with draft penalties, already seems like we have virtually got off scot-free.

Yeah, we’ve been lucky, but those lost picks will haunt us at some point.
Would’ve been happy with a Patrick Cripps or Cam McCarthy at pick 12 and a Rory Lobb or a Ben Brown with our 2nd round pick in 2013 to go along with Zerrett.
From a list management perspective it really put us up ■■■■ creek and forced us to do some serious improvising.

Kid needs the number 5 after stants is gone. Represents everything hirdy was and has the qualities to be one of our greats of the modern era.

He is a burst player with no tank. He needs to develop a tank. Why do you think he doesn’t even play midfield in the VFL? No tank!
Will be an impact player for at least the next 2 years until he is midfield ready.
It’s not a criticism. I love him. We need to be patient with our expectations of this guy otherwise we will all get frustrated. Will take longer than Langford and parish. So will Francis imo.
To put in perspective of him winning the Crichton medal this year...It’s the equivalent of Langford of Laverde winning the Crichton next year… can’t imagine it can you?
Kid is a superstar. Equal if not outright best young talent we have seen in a long time - and we had Heppell burst onto the scene remember…

Was absolutely sensational today. His composure with the ball in hand for someone so young is amazing. Some guys play 150+ games and don't have that. Has he even played 50 games yet?
