From the footage I’ve seen I don’t know how you can be absolutely positive that his head didn’t hit the ground or something else. I mean to give a fine you would want some pretty clear vision. Who was that Richmond guy that clearly cheated for a free kick against us a few years ago that got death threats, why didn’t they fine him.

Or perhaps the label “poor kick” will stick, because he consistently produces disposals like the kick that went 5m, sideways, out on the full on Thursday. Or perhaps the shot at goal that went out on the full in rd1 (or was it the praccy game?) missing the behind post by about 30m? He produces disposals like these every single week, and has done since his first year.
I am fairly optimistic about his future. However, his disposal by foot needs a lot more improvement to elevate him from poor status.

Oh, I don’t think playing Shiel is holding us back from a rebuild.
I just think it’s more evidence we’re still aiming for finals.
Pretty obvious he was playing for a free. Pay the fine and move on. He probably plays for the too high free more than anyone else on our team, often dropping his knees when tackled.

I was very pleased with his ability to dispose of the ball when tackled with a hand pass. Too often in the past he has been pinged for holding the ball.

From memory there was an absolute bullet of a handball to Shiel when i thought he was definitely going to get pinged. I don’t mind if these young guys keep taking on the tackler and sometimes get pinged. They’re only going to get bigger and stronger, and it will get easier for them.

Hobbs ceiling is more limited than Tsatas.
